JIPMAT Exam Pattern

The JIPMAT 2025 examination, scheduled for April 2025, will adopt a computer-based test (CBT) format. The test is projected to include 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) distributed across three sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. 

Candidates can anticipate earning four marks for each correct answer while incurring a deduction of one mark for every incorrect response. The entire exam is expected to be completed within 150 minutes (2:30 hours). The total marks achievable in the exam are 400. The medium of the exam will be English.

IIM Jammu IPM Eligibility Criteria

Below are the guidelines mentioned by IIM Jammu following which they’d provide the IPM course in their college in addition to the eligibility criteria for the JIPMAT exam. 

• Candidates should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2023,2024 or appearing in 2025. The candidate must have passed Standard X/ SSC or equivalent examination in the year 2021 or later.
• Qualifying Examination-Candidate should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category). Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31st, 2025, can also apply.
• Applicants pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated with foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.
