SCMHRD Introduction

Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, Pune was established in 1993 as a specialized institute in Human Resource Development. The first few institutions belonging to the Symbiosis Society were affiliated to the University of Pune. Today, SCMHRD is regarded as one of India’s premier B-schools renowned for its finance, marketing, operations courses and not just HR. The programs offered at SCMHRD are:

  • MBA Infrastructure Development and Management (MBA-IDM): A two-year full time programme designed to educate about the functional business areas in the domain of Infrastructure Management

Symbiosis Selection/Shortlisting Criteria

Symbiosis International University conducts its own exam,Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test,for admissions to all the MBA courses at various colleges in the university. The exam is conducted in the month of December on a Sunday.

The SNAP exam has a total of 180 questions. A correct answer fetches 3 marks and -1 for each incorrect answer. The pattern of the exam has been tabulated below.

SCMHRD Admission Procedure

  1. Candidates are shortlisted based on their SNAP scores.

  2. The shortlisted candidates are then called for stage-II which comprises Group Exercise, WAT and Personal Exercise (GE-PIWAT).

  1. Candidates are required to appear for a written test at SCMHRD Pune.

  2. The test will be followed by a round of personal interviews.

SCMHRD Eligibility and Selection Criteria for MBA

Moreover, the SNAP 2020 exam pattern will be slightly different from the 2019 SNAP exam pattern, as the governing authorities have obliterated the GK section.
