While many students start preparing for exams like IIT-JEE or NEET from 8th grade itself, we strongly believe that it is not the right time to do so. In our opinion the students should instead focus upon national and international level competitive exams to nurture and enhance their skill-set. So here we bring to you a list of competitive exams for 8th, 9th and 10th students- 1. National Talent Search Exam - This is a national level exam conducted by NCERT for students of 10th grade. Through this exam they offer scholarships to students for the entire academic year. The exam is conducted in two stages. Stage one is conducted by state and union territories and the students who qualify this get to Stage two. Stage 2 is conducted at a national level. 2. National Level Science Talent Search Exam - This exam is conducted by Unified council. Students of grade 2-12 can appear for this exam and the toppers stand a chance of winning prizes worth INR 4 Crore. 3. Indian National Olympiads - These exams are held in the area of basic sciences by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. This exam is actually conducted in five stages. National Standard Exam - Indian National Olympiad - Camp Selection (Two Stages) - International Olympiad. Students till 12th grade are eligible for these exams. 4. Science Olympiad Foundation - This is a Delhi-based organization which conducts the following exams for students of 1-12th Grade - National Cyber Olympiad, National Science Olympiad, International Mathematics Olympiad, International English Olympiad , International Commerce Olympiad, International General Knowledge Olympiad. 5. GeoGenius - This is an exam conducted in the area of geography. This is the geography olympiad and tests students on their geography skills. Students of class 2nd-10th are eligible for it. It is conducted in two stages. First is at the school level and another is at the national level. 6. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna - Conducted by the Science and Technology Department of the Central Government, this exam aims at finding the best talents and encourages them to pursue basic science and research careers. Students of grade 10th-12th are eligible for this exam. 7. Silverzone Olympiads - This is a Delhi-based organisation which conducts international olympiads in the field of informatics, mathematics, science, english language, reasoning and aptitude, french language and social studies. Apart from this it also conducts various exams like - Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Olympiad, Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad and International Talent Hunt Olympiad. Students of class 1-12 are eligible for these exams. 8. EduHeal Foundation - This organisation works towards making learning fun and interactive. It conducts various exams for the students of 1-12, like International Cyber Olympiad, National Interactive Maths Olympiad, National Interactive Science Olympiad, International English and General Knowledge Olympiads. It conducts various workshops and sessions by mentors of top institutes. 9. ASSET - Assessment of scholastic skills through educational testing is an organisation that conducts exams to test the students on their concepts through MCQ-based exams. The subjects for which it conducts exams are - Maths, Science and English. Students of class 3-10 are eligible for these exams. 10. ICAS - This is an assessment program brought to you by UNSW Global and Macmillan Education. This assessment programs conducts exams in the field of - Science, Digital Technologies, Mathematics & English for students of grade 2-12.
