Quantitative aptitude is an essential for students preparing for any competitive examinations especially CAT, XAT & Other MBA Exams. sharpening your quantitative aptitude can give you a significant edge. here are the five tips which you can follow to improve Quantitative aptitude. 

1. Adhere to the Syllabus :

It is the first and foremost step of acing the subject, because syllabus helps in shaping the structure of the preparation. ensure you have a strong grasp of fundamental mathematical concepts. Focus on:

Arithmetic Section

(Percentage, ratio proportion, profit loss discount, time and work, time speed distance etc.)

Algebra

(Modulus, log & other functions, linear & Quadratic equations, polynomial, sequence & series etc)

Geometry & Mensuration (2D & 3D)

Number system & Modern Maths (permutation & Combination)

A clear understanding of these basics will help you solve problems faster and more accurately.

2. Practice Regularly

Consistent practice is the key to improving quantitative aptitude. Set aside daily time to solve at least 50 questions per day, make the availability of :-

·       Previous years' exam papers

·       Books on quantitative aptitude for practice

3. Learn Shortcuts and Tricks

4. Mock test writing

Writing regular mock tests will help you assess your progress and identify areas that need improvement. no matter at what point you are on your syllabus but weekly mock is mandatory so that your brain and body clock will get adjusted accordingly & mock writing also helps in understating the variety of questions that can be asked related to a topic.

5. Mock Analysis

Review every mistake you make and understand where you went wrong. Keep a notebook to note down common errors and tricky problems to revisit later. for every mock analysis spare atleast 1 hour so that you can analyse everything related to errors, strong & Weak areas in depth.
