NMAT Form Filling: Key Points to Remember

 

- Multiple Attempts Allowed: You can take the NMAT exam up to three times, but you need to register separately for each attempt.

- Retake Policy: If you're retaking the exam, you don't need to reapply to NMIMS. However, note that NMIMS only considers your first NMAT score for selection.

- Score Policy: Scores from subsequent retakes will not be considered for the second stage of selection.

- Test Venue: You can only take the NMAT exam from a designated test venue. (Note: Unlike previous years, taking the exam from home is no longer an option.)

NMAT Registration: A Step-by-Step Guide

 

The NMAT by GMAC exam registration and school application process consists of two steps:

 

1. Register for the NMAT by GMAC exam and select the programs/institutions to submit your scores to. GMAC will electronically submit your scores to the chosen institutions.

2. Complete the B-school application form on the respective institution's website. The institution's admissions team will match your application with your NMAT by GMAC scores.

 

Step 1: Create an Account

 

- Click on the registration link to create an account using your details.

- Verify your email address through the confirmation email sent to your registered email ID.

 

Step 2: Dashboard

 

- Log in to your account and access your NMAT Dashboard.

- Click on "Register Now" to fill out the registration form.

 

Step 3: Identity Information

 

- Provide personal details, parents' details, photo, and Photo ID proof details.

- Ensure your name and date of birth match exactly with your Photo ID and Signature ID.

- Enter correct Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email Address as these cannot be changed later.

- Upload your scanned photograph.

 

Step 4: Contact Information

 

- Enter your contact details and communication address.

 

Step 5: Education & Work Experience Details

 

- Fill in your highest education qualification (Completed/Appearing for Graduation or Attained Master's Degree).

- Enter graduation scores/master's degree scores as percentages or CGPA.

- Select the appropriate marking scheme from the dropdown.

- If currently pursuing graduation, select 'Not Completed' and enter only the year of passing.

- Enter full-time work experience as of July 1, 2024. Only full-time experience after graduation is considered valid.

- Select NMIMS University as a preference if you wish to apply.

- Complete the NMIMS application on their website.

- Select schools in order of your preference (up to 80 choices, with 5 free choices allowed).

- Note: Additional school choices beyond the free allowed choices incur a fee of ₹472 (with taxes).

Step 2: Personal Details

 

- Fill in personal details: Name, DOB, Email ID, Contact number, NMAT Registration Number, Blood Group, Marital Status, Religion, Mother Tongue, ID proof details.

- Upload your photograph (1MB, JPEG, JPG, PNG).

 

Step 3: Academic Background & Programme Category

 

- Select Academic Background/Graduation Degree Name.

- Note: Specific requirements for Business Analytics and Digital Transformation programs.

- Select 5 program preferences.

 

Step 4: Identity Information, Parents Details & Address for Communication

 

- Fill in Gender, Category, Contact Number, Parent's details, Communication & Permanent Address.

 

Step 5: Graduation Details

 

- Fill out Under Graduation details.

- If Graduation passed, mention Graduation percentage.

- If currently appearing for Graduation or awaiting results, mention Graduation Status as "Appeared".

 

Step 6: Work Experience Details

 

- Mention Work Experience: Name of Organization, Years of Experience, Months of Experience.

- Mention Industry & relevant Function within that Industry.
