Success Story 2020: MBA #3
What future could you expect of someone who scored merely 33 marks in class XII Mathematics, still chose engineering and struggled each semester, so much so that at one point in time the person had as many as 13 backlogs? How much chance would you give that he one day will not only know his passion but will also get admission into the most prestigious institute in the field of his interest?
Meet Amit Ghosh, who once succumbed to peer pressure and opted for engineering only to discover later that his real interest lies in 'creative writing'. But this later is yet to come, because after engineering he once again chose the run-of- the- mill stuff, he joined the corporate world. Luckily, here he got chance to explore his creative side. He discovered that his interest lies in communicating and writing; he realised that he belongs to a different 'tribe'. He left his job, aiming to do his masters from a college that suits his interest. He prepared diligently for MBA entrance exams with special focus on MICA, an institute known for communication advertising and creativity.
He did well in CAT scoring a decent 95%ile and had options to pursue traditional MBA from the top notch B-schools but this time Amit would not chose run-of-the-mill stuff, because this time he knows that for his 'tribe' MICA is the Mecca.
