Can We Add Extra Colleges to the CUET Form After the CUET Exam?

Published on 5th June 2024 | 11:17 AM

One of the steps while filling out the CUET application form is choosing the courses and colleges for UG admission. Students should carefully fill out these two details. While choosing the maximum number of colleges in your CUET form is not mandatory, visiting all the university websites where you seek admission and checking the eligibility criteria for respecting programs offered is mandatory for students.

There is no provision for adding a college or course to your CUET form once the application fee is submitted. However, this is done intentionally by the NTA & UGC, keeping in mind the sole purpose of CUET UG. The test is a common entrance test for admission to all the 250+ participating universities. Students don’t need to apply for all the universities or courses in their CUET form. Merely applying for CUET UG, writing the test, and having a valid CUET scorecard make a student eligible to register for the counselling process of any of the participating universities in the CUET UG.

However, students must fulfill the desired eligibility requirements for the programs offered by any particular university to be considered for admission.

Students must keep a few things in mind while filling out the CUET application form and choosing the university and course preferences:

> Merely writing the CUET doesn’t make a student eligible for UG admission.

> Students must minutely check the required subject combination to ensure eligibility for any particular university course.

> Choosing any university in your CUET form to be eligible for admission is not mandatory.

> Students with a valid CUET scorecard can register for counselling at any of the participating universities of CUET UG.
