CUET (UG) 2025: On Dec 10, 2024, UGC made a groundbreaking announcement regarding the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) UG. The new rules and guidelines regarding the CUET exam pattern will completely change the exam's face and give it a fresh look. The significant changes announced by the UGC in collaboration with NTA and with approval of MoE (Ministry of Education) will be effective from CUET 2025 onwards. The brief set of changes is mentioned below.

Updated CUET Exam Pattern

According to the latest announcement by the UGC, the latest CUET 2025 exam pattern will be as follows:

> The exam will be conducted online, in CBT mode only.

> The duration of the exam for each subject will be 60 minutes.

> All the questions in the paper will be compulsory (no optional questions).

> The total number of subjects has been reduced to 37.

> Students can choose a maximum of 5 subjects for their CUET exam

> Now, a student can choose any subject in CUET (UG), regardless of whether or not they have studied it in class 12.

One major update that is awaited now is the detailed list of 26 subjects that have been omitted from the CUET 2025 subject list. The same is expected to be announced by the NTA soon on its official website.

Students must take note of the following changes and adjust their study plans accordingly. These significant exam pattern changes will make students ponder and re-devise their preparation strategy. Although the paper duration for most subjects has been increased, removing optional questions from all the papers will pose some serious challenges to the students.

Still, there is enough time for CUET 2025 (UG). Students must not waste any time and begin their CUET preparation as soon as possible to accommodate these changes in their study routine and boost their CUET scores.
