The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a nationwide entrance exam for UG admissions to 280+ participating universities. The brief CUET university list includes top universities like DU, BHU, JNU, JMI, AMU, University of Hyderabad, and Allahabad University, to name a few. Owing to the nature of the test, it will be a highly competitive entrance exam.

Approximately 20 lakh students are expected to fill out the CUET 2025 application form. Due to the intense competition, high cutoffs, and limited seats at the top universities, getting admission to esteemed (top) universities is becoming increasingly difficult.

With CUET around the corner, it is crucial to have a well-planned preparation strategy that covers all the necessary topics within a limited time.

As a first step, students must understand the CUET exam pattern and syllabus and follow all recent updates by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students should follow a step-by-step CUET preparation strategy that will help them develop a focused study routine and improve it further. A few beginners' tips for CUET preparation.

> The CUET 2025 exam pattern has been significantly changed; grasp it thoroughly.

> Cover the entire syllabus, following the NCERT textbooks.

> Follow a rigid schedule with a fixed timetable.

> Make sure to take notes and make pointers. This helps in quick revision.

> Once the syllabus has been thoroughly covered, revise it with a specific focus on important topics.

> Fine-tune the preparedness by attempting and solving, previous year question papers, mocks, and test series.

While continuing the preparation journey, students must commit themselves and follow the three C’s. It will help to prepare better and score well in the test.

The three C’s are:

> Clarity (of the syllabus)

> Consistency (in your study routine)

> Commitment (towards your goal)

While preparing, create a study plan with specific time slots for each subject and revision. Solving previous year's questions, and sample papers, attempting mock tests, and solving test series helps a lot with steadily progressing toward CUET success. It also assists in simultaneous tracking and evaluating performance. This was also helpful in identifying the strengths and weaknesses and improving speed and accuracy.
