What is the CUET Application Form, Learn Details

In a joint initiative from the UGC and MoE, the previous version of CUCET was revamped in 2022 and relaunched as CUET. The full form of CUET is the Common University Entrance Test. Previously, only a handful of central universities participated in CUCET, but the revamped edition attracted large numbers of universities. As per the latest information, 261 universities (including 45 central universities) participated in CUET 2024.


Students who seek UG admission in the central universities (all courses) participating in CUET (UG), and various courses (admission to selected courses are offered through CUET scores by other universities) offered by other participating universities must fill out the CUET application form.

Every aspiring student has to fill out the CUET application form to be able to sit in the CUET UG and seek admission to any of the participating universities. Students must note that the CUET (UG) will be the sole gateway for admissions to the participating universities; hence, filling out the CUET application form is of utmost significance for students.


The following details are required to fill out the CUET application form:

> Educational Qualification

> Permanent/temporary Address

> Valid Mobile No. & Email ID

> Domicile & Category Certificate

> Photograph & Signature

> University & Course Choices

> Choice of Center... etc.


The CUET application form is usually released in the month of February each year, with a month-long window to fill out the application form and pay the required fees.


Students must note that the CUET application form is merely for sitting in the test and acquiring the scorecard.
