About Central University of Odisha

Central University of Odisha was established in 2009 by an Act of Parliament, with an objective to emphasize and promote the language, literature and culture of Odisha. Central University of Odisha is NAAC accredited with “B+” grade and was ranked 20 in NIRF 2020.

Central University of Odisha is in Sunabeda Town, Odisha and was established with a mission to develop a University which strikes a balance between teaching and scholarship and commitment to addressing society's educational, economic, and cultural challenges.

Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics offers lateral exit after three years.

Central University of Odisha UG Programs Eligibility:

Each of the courses have different eligibility for admissions. To be eligible for admissions, one must fulfill all the criteria as laid down by the respective faculties of the University.

B.Ed: Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree (Science/Arts) and/or at least 50% marks in the Master’s Degree (Science/Arts), at least 55% marks in Bachelor’ in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics.
Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics: Any candidate who has passed the 10+2 examination in Science from a recognized Board with Mathematics and Physics as subjects securing minimum 55% in aggregate and 55% in Mathematics.
Bachelor of Computer Application: Any student who have passed 10+2 CUO e-Prospectus 2020-21 42 examination in Science/Arts/Commerce with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Central University of Odisha UG Admissions:

Admissions to Central University of Odisha UG courses are based on Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). CUET will be a common entrance for admissions to UG programs offered by all the Central Universities in the country.

Central University of Odisha UG Programs Reservation:

Central University of Odisha being a Central University offers reservations in admissions according to central government rules.

Schedule Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for students who belong to SC category.
Schedule Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to ST Category.
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% of the total intake is reserved for students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), excluding those from creamy layer. Also, Central List of Caste to be followed.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): The University has reserved 10% seats for the EWS category, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education.
Persons with Disability (PWD): 5% of the seats are reserved on a horizontal basis for students from PWD category.
