CUET 2025 Highlights

It is the second biggest UG entrance exam in the country. More than 15 lakh students are expected to appear in CUET UG 2025 for merely 3 lakh seats, combining all the participating universities. Check the brief highlights of CUET to understand and grasp the exam.

  • The exam is divided into 3 sections - I (A & B) Languages, II (Domain Subjects, and III (General Test.
  • The CUET 2025 exam will be conducted in hybrid mode [online (CBT mode) and offline (pen & paper mode)].
  • Students can select a maximum of 6 subjects. 5 domain subjects and one mandatory language or 4 domain subjects + Language + GT.

When is CUET 2025?

CUET is tentatively held in the month of May-June, every year. The NTA will officially announce the dates for CUET UG 2025 by the end of November 2024.

CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for CUET UG 2025 include educational qualification, age limit, candidate nationality, etc. Besides these general CUET guidelines, universities will have distinct course-wise admission criteria. Students are advised to visit the official university website to check the detailed course-wise eligibility criteria.

According to NTA, for appearing in the CUET 2025, there will be no upper age limit. The candidates who have passed the class 12th/equivalent examination with 45% (A 5% relaxation will be provided to category students) or more marks or are appearing for it in 2025, irrespective of their age, can fill out the CUET form and appear in the test.

CUET UG 2025 Exam Pattern

A few significant changes were made in the CUET UG exam pattern in 2024. No further changes are expected in CUET 2025. However, if there are any changes, the same will be updated here

According to the latest pattern, the CUET paper will be divided into three sections. The three sections of CUET 2024 are -

A candidate can choose a maximum of 6 subjects combining all three sections in CUET UG 2025. These 6 subjects must include one language and 4 domain subjects + GT or 5 domain subjects.

The NTA is expected to follow the same marking scheme for CUET 2024 as the previous year. Which is 5 marks for every correct attempt, and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. However, there will be no penalty for unattempted questions in CUET UG.

CUET 2025 Application Form

The CUET 2025 registration and application process are expected to begin tentatively by the last week of February and will remain open until the last week of March. To successfully apply for CUET (UG), students must do their registration, fill out the CUET UG 2025 form, and pay the required fees within the deadline.

For CUET 2025 registration, candidates must follow the following steps:

Step 1: Click the “New Candidate Register Here” button.

Step 2: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully.

Step 3: Fill out the CUET UG 2025 registration form by providing all the required details and submit it.

Step 4: Validate the details in the preview application section and click “Submit and Send OTP on mobile”.

Step 5: Complete the verification by entering the OTP received on the registered mobile number/email ID.

After completing the CUET UG 2025 registration process, students can log in to their dashboard by entering the login details and filling out the CUET UG application form.

CUET 2025 Admit Card

The admit card for CUET is the hall ticket for students on the exam day. Without it, the students won't be allowed to enter the exam venue and sit in the test. Following the trends of the previous years, it is safe to say that the NTA will release the CUET UG 2025 admit cards 3-4 days before the exam.

CUET Results & Answer Key

The NTA will release the provisional CUET 2025 answer key a few days/weeks after the exam. Candidates can download the provisional CUET UG answer key from the official website of CUET to tally their responses and raise objections. It is to be noted that a fee will be charged for each objection the student raises. After the experts evaluate the objections, the final answer key will only be released.

The CUET UG 2025 results will only be declared based on the final answer key. The results will tentatively be declared by the last week of June.
