DU admission 2024 process will no longer be based on merit (class 12 Board result). To participate in the DU admission process and grab a seat in any of the top colleges of DU, students need to have an excellent CUET score and perform well on Boards. After the CUET results are declared, candidates must register for the DU CSAS portal to participate in the DU UG admission counselling process. All the updates regarding the cut-offs, seat matrix for a course and college, and vacant seats will only be updated on the personal dashboard of the candidates on the DU CSAS portal.

CUET 2024 will be the sole gateway for DU UG admission across 91 constituent colleges. Therefore, in the table below, we have provided a tentative timeline for all the important events of CUET 2024. Students must closely follow this timeline and ensure they don’t miss out on anything.

Top Colleges of DU

There are a total of 91 constituent colleges, which offer a total of approximately 70,000 seats for DU UG admissions across all the programs. All these UG seats will be filled based on the CUET 2024 scores of the candidates. To secure a seat in any of the top colleges of DU, it will be crucial that the student has an excellent CUET score and equally good marks in the class XII Boards. Students aspiring for DU admission 2024 must register on the DU CSAS portal to participate in the counselling and subsequent admission process. The DU CSAS portal for academic session 2024-25 is open now. Students can visit the official website of the CSAS portal and register themselves.

DU UG Admission: Eligibility

DU admission eligibility criteria differ from the standard CUET (UG) criteria. These are a set of course or program-wise guidelines and requirements a student must fulfill to be eligible and considered for DU admission 2024. A candidate must decide their program choice and language and subject combinations from the 3 sections of CUET (UG) to be eligible for DU UG admission.

A brief highlight of DU admission 2024 eligibility:

• Choose the desired language from list A (i.e. section IA & IB of CUET).
• The domain subjects are divided into two segments, B1 & B2. Candidates need to be mindful while choosing the subjects. They must go through the detailed program-wise eligibility for DU UG admission and choose subjects accordingly.
• To seek DU admission 2024 in any particular course, students must have that subject in their class 12 Boards.
• General Test or section III of CUET is not mandatory in the case of DU UG admission, barring a few.

DU Admission 2024: Intake Capacity

Approximately 70,000 UG seats are offered across 91 constituent colleges of DU for UG admission in 2024 across various streams and subjects. Students must register for the DU CSAS portal, pay the required fees, and participate in the counselling process for DU UG admission. DU Application Form

Unlike past years (before 2022), students will now face a change in the DU UG admission process. Till 2021, the students had to fill out the DU application form and were shortlisted through DU entrance exams or merit-based (class XII Board result-based) lists. DU admission 2024 will be completely based on the CUET 2024 scorecard of the candidate.

Candidates must register on CUET's official website and fill out the detailed CUET application form for DU admission. Subsequently, after the declaration of the CUET result, students have to register on the DU CSAS portal to take part in the counselling process and secure a seat in any of the constituent colleges of DU.

• Class 12 mark sheet
• Class 10 mark sheet
• CUET scorecard, once available
• Migration/Transfer certificate
• Photographs
• Signature
• Application form printout
• Certificate for reservation

DU Application Fees

There is a separate DU CSAS portal fee besides CUET application fees. Students interested in DU UG admission in 2024 must complete the CUET application form. After successful completion, students need to pay specific fees; only then will the form finally be submitted and accepted. This is collected by the NTA to conduct the exam properly.
