What's the NEWS
- A Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX) was conducted between Japan Maritime Self Defense Force and Indian Navy on 23 Jul 22 in Andaman Sea.
- The two countries have been carrying out regular exercises in IOR towards reinforcing maritime association.
- The exercise were aimed at enhancing interoperability and streamlining seamanship and communication procedures.
- This exercise is part of the ongoing efforts between the two navies towards ensuring safe and secure international shipping and trade in Indian Ocean Region.

- Union Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan calls for including information about Anusilan Samity in NCF to inspire the next generation
- Anusilan Samity was a prominent secret revolutionary society operating from Bengal in the 20th century with a mission to overthrow colonial rule and give momentum to India's struggle for freedom.
- Founded by Satish Chandra Pramatha Mitra, Aurobindo Ghose and Sarala Devi, Anusilan Samity was one among the many illustrious institutions from the pious land of Bengal that shaped the nation's conscience through nationalist writings, publications and emphasis on Swadeshi.
- Legends like, Deshabandhu Chittaranjan Das, Surendranath Tagore, Jatindranath Banerjee, Bagha Jatin were associated with Anusilan Samity.
- The Minister urged NCERT and the Education fraternity to include enough information about Anusilan Samity, especially in the upcoming National Curriculum Framework.

- The Krittika nakshatra or Karthigai natchathiram of the Tamil month of Aadi is dedicated to Lord Muruga (Karthikeya / Subramanya), son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi.
- The festival celebrated on this day is known as Aadi Kaarthigai also spelled Aadi Kiruthigai or Aadi Krithikai.
- It is predominantly a Tamil festival popular among Tamil population.

- The Union Home Minister, inaugurated the State Level Command and Control Center of Gujarat Police 'Trinetra' and other modern technical services under the VISWAS project in Gandhinagar.
- Gujarat was at the first State where e-Cop was started. Computerization of all police stations in the State, recruitment of constables, training systems and administration of Trinetra has been done with E-Cop software.
- Along with this, the inclusion of eFIR a Forensic Science Laboratory was also included in the e-cop.
- The task of equipping Gujarat Police with modern technology from eCop to Trinetra was started by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
- 96 percent police stations across the country are online under the CCTNS project of the Government of India.
- The Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and Systems, abbreviated to CCTNS, is a project under the Indian government for creating a comprehensive and integrated system for effective policing through e-Governance.
- The system includes a nationwide online tracking system by integrating more than 14,000 police stations across the country.
- The project is implemented by National Crime Records Bureau.

- Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) President met Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; and extended support for Mumbai sea beach cleaning as a part of the 75-day Coastal Clean-Up campaign initiated by the Ministry of Earth Sciences from 5th July this year.

- Established on 7 September 1907 in Mumbai
- It is an organization of India, representing interests of Indian trade, commerce, and industry.
- It was organized originally during the days of the British Raj to promote trade, commerce, and industry by Indian entrepreneurs.
- IMC has played a significant role in consolidating Indian business interests and making the Indian economy self-reliant.
- It kept pace with and, in its own way, became part of the Indian struggle for freedom.
- It was the Chamber's dedication that made Mahatma Gandhi patronise it and accept, in 1931, its honorary membership - a rare honour bestowed upon any chamber of commerce in the country.
- IMC's long record of contributing their might for national campaigns of people's interest, it would be in the fitness of things that they also become a part of the first-ever longest coastal Clean-Up campaign "Swatch Sagar- Swachh Bharat".
