- NITI Aayog organized the Fourth Edition of the Women Transforming India Awards
- NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform organised the Fourth Edition of the Women Transforming India Awards (WTI) on International Women's Day, Sunday, 8 March 2020.
- It is NITI Aayog's initiative in collaboration with the United Nations since 2016 to highlight the commendable and ground-breaking endeavours of India's women leaders and changemakers.
- The Women Transforming India Awards, instituted four years ago, is NITI Aayog's endeavour to recognise and celebrate stories of exceptional women changemakers from across India.
- Since 2018, the Women Transforming India Awards have been hosted under the aegis of NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform on the theme of ‘Women and Entrepreneurship'
- Launched on International Women's Day, two years ago, the Women Entrepreneurship Platform has become a forum dedicated to educating, enabling and empowering women entrepreneurs.
- The Women Entrepreneurship Platform seeks to transform the entrepreneurial ecosystem for women by bringing together stakeholders to offer information and services that will resolve the existing information asymmetry.
- It was formulated on three pillars: Iccha Shakti,Gyan Shakti and Karma Shakti.I
- It is an aggregator platform for established as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and provides incubator support, mentorship, funding avenues, compliance and taxation support and peer learning.

- In Mizoram, the biggest and most joyful festival of Mizos, Chapchar Kut is being celebrated across.
- The Chapchar Kut is also regarded as the most popular spring festival to the people of the state.
- The gaiety and fervour of Chapchar Kut shines through with plenty of dancing and music to keep everyone in good spirits. This festival is a public holiday in the state.
- Traditional bamboo dance - Cheraw and other dances were performed at the main event, attracting thousands of people. Almost similar festive events are being held throughout the state
Blissful Hygiene Offering to God (BHOG) certificates

What's the NEWS
- The Tamil Nadu Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has asked the administrations of Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam and Mariamman Temple in Samayapuram to get Blissful Hygiene Offering to God (BHOG) certificates issued by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India in order to ensure the quality of food served to devotees and offering to deities
- As a precautionary measure and to maintain a high level of hygiene, the temple administrations have been asked to get BHOG certificates through the department.
- BHOG (Blissful Hygienic Offering to God) launched in 2018 by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India(FSSAI) is a part of the Eat Right initiative to encourage Places of Worship (PoW) to adopt and maintain food safety and hygiene while preparing prasad/food and includes training the food handlers and vendors in and around the premises of the PoW.
- Implementation of BHOG would help to ensure that safe and wholesome prasad is received by the devotees along with the blessings of God.

SEBI launches app for lodging investor grievances (SCORES)

What's the NEWS
- The Securities and Exchange Board of India launched a mobile application for lodging investor grievances.
- The app -- Sebi SCORES -- in an effort to improve the ease of doing business so that investors can conveniently lodge their grievances in Sebi Complaints Redress System (SCORES).
- SCORES mobile app will make it easier for investors to lodge their grievances with Sebi, as they can now access SCORES at their convenience of a smartphone.
- The App,will encourage investors to lodge their complaints on SCORES rather than sending letters to Sebi in physical mode
- SCORES is a platform designed to help investors to lodge their complaints online with Sebi, pertaining to securities market, against listed companies, Sebi registered intermediaries and Sebi recognized Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs).
- Since its launch in June 2011, Sebi on an average has received about 40,000 complaints every year. A total of 3,57,000 complaints has been resolved using SCORES platform, so far.

- India has joined as an observer of the Indian Ocean Commission - the inter-governmental organisation that coordinates maritime governance in the south-western Indian Ocean
- This move has strategic importance as the Commission is an important regional institution in the Western Indian Ocean.
- It facilitates collective engagement with the islands in Western Indian Ocean that are becoming strategically significant.
- It boosts cooperation with France that has strong presence in the Western Indian Ocean and lends depth to India's SAGAR policy of PM Narendra Modi 2015.
- The move also strengthens western flank of the Indo-Pacific and is a stepping stone to security cooperation with East Africa.

- The Western Indian Ocean (WIO) is a strategic sub-theatre of the Indian Ocean linking the Southeastern coast of Africa to the wider Indian Ocean and beyond.
- It is home to one of the key chokepoints in the Indian Ocean- the Mozambique Channel.
- The Indian Ocean Commission is an intergovernmental organization that was created in 1982 at Port Louis, Mauritius and institutionalized in 1984 by the Victoria Agreement in Seychelles.
- The IOC is composed of five African Indian Ocean nations: Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Réunion (an overseas region of France), and Seychelles.
- The Commission has four observers -China, EU, Malta and International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF)
- Political and diplomatic cooperation,
- Economic and commercial cooperation
- Sustainable development in a globalisation context, cooperation in the field of agriculture, maritime fishing, and the conservation of resources and ecosystems
- Strengthening of the regional cultural identity, cooperation in cultural, scientific, technical, educational and judicial fields.
