Getting into IIT Bhilai-Admissions

• For all B.Tech programs-JEE Advanced
• All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterwards, JEE Advanced. Only the top 2,24,000 scores in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE advanced. The candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Class Examination conducted by respective boards. For SC/ST students, there shall be a relaxation of 5% in this criterion.

B.Tech admission at IITDH is done through online counseling. Counseling organized by the college is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and required documents for verification.

Placement IIT Bhilai

The training and placement program currently includes the summer internship program of 6-8 weeks. In summer 2018, around 80 students went for internships in organizations including DRDO, BARC, BSNL, Tata Motors Ltd, Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., Hyundai Motor India Limited. We have also collaborated with industry for carrying out many programs. Among various other activities, recently, IIT Bhilai and IBM held a Machine Learning workshop which was conducted in July 2018.

Facilities at IIT Bhilai

Students are provided with all the basic infrastructural facilities, such as a library, computing labs, workshops, and a number of core engineering laboratories (digital fabrication Lab, Do-It-Yourself lab, chemistry lab, automation systems lab, electrical lab, etc.). IIT Bhilai is a residential campus equipped with recreation-cum-TV rooms, washing machines, regular dining facilities, night canteens, etc. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the campus. The institute has a couple of well-maintained sports grounds and a multi-gym. Students can take part in numerous sports activities-indoor and outdoor-as a recreational exercise, as well as to maintain physical fitness.

• Residential facilities for the female students: At present, about 80 female students can be accommodated on campus as full-time residents.
• Residential facilities for the male students: At present, about 450 male students can be accommodated on campus as full-time residents.
• Academic blocks as well as the hostels are under the vigilance by qualified security personnel round the clock.
