IPU CET 2021

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGS IPU), popularly known as I.P. University conducts an entrance exam IPU CET for admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc. Located in the vicinity of Delhi, it attracts thousands of students for engineering courses in their various colleges. IPU CET serves as the means to enter any I. P. University college. The students are picked up on the basis of their scores in exam and the ranks achieved by them in IPU CET.

All candidates who are aspiring for B.Tech / B.E admissions should appear in Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admission to B.Tech programs except Bio Technology branch. B.Tech Bio Technology admission will be done based on the performance of candidates in IPU CET Exam. Diploma holders and the BSc Graduates seeking B.Tech lateral entry admission have to appear in the IPU CET exam.

IPU CET 2021 Application Form

IPU CET 2021 application form is available in online mode.
Candidates have to fill their general information for proceeding towards the course selection and payment section.
Candidates also have to upload the following scanned documents: 10th standard mark sheet, 12th standard mark sheet, Graduation and/or Post-Graduation mark sheet (if available), Aadhar card (if available), photograph, sign and left-hand thumb impression.
After final submission of the application form, candidates will not be able to modify/correct the mistakes in the application form.
Candidates can take the printout of final submitted application form and keep it till the admission process gets over.

Application Fee:

Candidates can make payment through online mode only.
IPU CET 2021 Application Fee will be Rs.1200 for each programme candidates from all categories.

IPU CET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling-up the application form, candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils all eligibility conditions as laid down in this information brochure.

Nationality:

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Age Criteria:

For undergraduate courses, minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 21 years.
For postgraduate courses, minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 35 years.

B.Tech

Candidates should have passed Class 12 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidate should have passed English as a subject of study in the qualifying examination.
Candidate should have appeared in JEE Main Paper 1 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and admission would be based on the merit list / rank list.

B.Tech (Biotechnology)

Candidate should have passed Class 12 examination with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology.
Candidate should have appeared in the IPU CET and their name should be in the merit list / rank list.

Lateral Entry BTech (Diploma)

Candidates should have passed three years diploma in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks.
Candidate should have appeared in the IPU CET and their name should be in the merit list/rank list.

Lateral Entry B.Tech (BSc)

Candidate should have passed BSc from any recognized University with Mathematics as a subject scoring a minimum of 60% marks.
Candidate should have appeared in the IPU CET and their name should be in the merit list / rank list.

IPU CET 2021 Exam Pattern

Here, candidates can check the CET exam pattern:

Exam Mode: Offline.
Language: The exam will be asked in English language.
Time Duration: 150 minutes will be given for B.Tech exam.
Total Marks: Exam paper will be of total 600 marks.
Type of Questions: Questions will be of objective type.

IPU CET 2021 Marking Scheme
4 marks will be given for each correct response and 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

IPU CET 2021 Syllabus

The IPU CET syllabus will varied as per the programmes. For UG courses, the syllabus will be from 12th level.
B.Tech (Bio-technology): The syllabus will contain various topics from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (Botany and Zoology) of 12th standard.

B.Tech (LE) Diploma

Questions will be based on Mechanics, Computer Awareness and Physics / Chemistry Related Knowledge, Applied Mathematics, and Analytical and Logical Reasoning.

B.Tech (LE) BSc

Questions will be based on B.Sc Level Mathematics, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, English (Class 12 level), and Scientific Aptitude.

IPU CET 2021 Admit Card

IPU CET admit cards shall be made available to applicants through the online mode only. Candidates can use their login ID and the password to get the admit card.
The admit card will be released on different dates for various courses. Candidates should carefully note the exam details in the admit card. Candidates should carry their admit card along with one photo ID proof for entry to exam centres.

IPU CET 2021 Result

Result will be declared by the University after few days of the completion of entrance examination. The University will declare and display the ranks of candidates who are declared as qualified in IPU CET 2021.
Note: No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding declaration of results and commencement of counselling.

IPU CET 2021 Cut off

IPU CET cut off marks will depend on various factors such as difficulty level of the test, marking scheme, number of seats, total number of candidates appeared, etc.
On the basis of cut off marks, the merit list prepared. The CET merit list will be valid only for the programme for which the candidate has appeared. Further, the merit of the CET shall be valid only for the academic session.
IPU CET cut off will be released on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in JEE Main 2021 except B.Tech Bio-Technology and B.Tech Lateral Entry.
The cut off will be released for All India level, Delhi and Outside Delhi candidates.

IPU CET 2021 Counselling

IPUCET qualified candidates will be considered for admission through the University Counselling. This is subject to fulfilment of eligibility and admission criteria for IPU CET. Tentative dates of commencement of various rounds of counselling usually notified before last week of March of the admission year. As of now the dates for IPU CET councelling will be notified as it is delayed due to the prevailing Covid situation Candidates will be called for counselling depending upon the number of seats available in each program. The admissions will be made strictly on merit basis. IPU CET 2021 counselling will be conducted in online mode. Steps involved in counselling process are given below.
