JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern has been revised considering the syllabus reduction by CBSE and state boards. Questions will be based on three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Each subject will have 30 questions. All three of these subjects will have two sections: A and B. Section A will comprise 20 MCQs and Section B will comprise 10 numerical value answer based questions.

Candidates have to attempt any 5 questions out of 10 in section B.

Paper 1 will be purely a computer based test with total marks of 300 consisting of MCQs and numerical value answer type questions from the three subjects. B. Arch and B. Planning papers will have mathematics and aptitude sections in common with the third section of drawing or planning based respectively.

Note: Last year, the total questions in B.E/B.Tech paper were reduced from 90 to 75, this change has been reversed in JEE Main 2021. However, the number of questions that need to be attempted per section remains the same i.e. 25.
