IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-I (Main) 2016 exam was held on December 11, 2016.The exam was conducted from 09:30 am to 11:30 am.

Each question had 5 options, with negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question. The paper had to be attempted in 2 hours (120 minutes).

The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult. The reasoning section of IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-I (Main) 2016 exam was dominated by puzzles and seating arrangement questions. Linear seating arrangement had 12 people facing North and South.

There were 2 sets of puzzles. One of them was based on 7 boxes containing different articles, while the other puzzle was based on 7 cars of different colors that travel different distances.

The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult. There were 3 sets of DI based on pie-chart, bar graph and missing DI. In the number series questions, wrong number out of the given series had to be identified. The arithmetic part featured questions on Profit & Loss, SI & CI, Time & Work, Averages, Percentages, Ages, Ratio, Boats & Streams, Probability, etc.

General Awareness Section of IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-I (Main) 2016:

General Awareness was moderate in terms of difficulty level. Most of the questions were from current affairs including government schemes, banking related schemes.

Computer Knowledge Section of IBPS CWE RRB Officer Scale-I (Main) 2016:

This section was easy to attempt. The main areas of focus were Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Networking, Basic Hardware and Software.
