Since IIM Indore began offering IPM course for the first time in the country; it has the oldest legacy of IPM aspirants, making it the best IPM offering college and IIM from that perspective.
An IPM degree cannot be compared with an MBA degree because IPM subsumes the MBA degree in the last two years. So IPM is a five-year long integrated degree comprising both BBA & MBA.
As per the placement data for 2024, the highest package was conceded by an IIM Indore student, which was of 100 LPA.
As there is no restrictions or eligibility criteria for appearing the IPM entrance exams; there is no one stream that is best or average for pursuing the IPM course. However, it is believed that non-med students have a better hold of the mathematics concepts so they are likely to have an upper hand in that section. Similarly, humanities students have an added advantage in the English language section of the examination. Whereas, commerce as a stream presents the best combination of subjects for taking the IPMAT exam.
