Maria Charles is a Catholic Priest from Tamil Nadu, India. At present he works as Secretary for the Office for Education and Culture, Catholic Bishops' Conference of India; Director of Don Bosco Youth Animation South Asia and Executive Secretary of All India Don Bosco Education Society (AIDBES). He has master's both in Social Work and Mass Media and Journalism and holds a doctorate in Development Communication from Salesian University in Rome. He had taught Communication in Tokyo, Japan and has presented papers in National and International Seminars in U.S., Philippines, Italy, Spain, Singapore and in Sri Lanka. He had been Editor of two magazines and Founder-Publisher of Arumbu Publications for 11 years and has published over 85 books. He had authored five books in Tamil and edited over eleven books on Youth, Education and Rights related issues in English. He has organized many National and International Conferences, Symposiums and Consultations. He Resides in New Delhi presently.
