SMS Medical College (SMSMC), Jaipur
Sawai Man Singh Medical College (also known as SMS) is a government medical Institution located in the Jaipur city of Rajasthan. It was established in 1947 and is recognized by the Medical Council of India. The Institute is affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health and Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur. SMS medical college upon establishment became the 15th center for medical institution in India. The Institute offers around 250 MBBS seats for the students qualified in NEET and has more than 30 departments.

| MBBS | Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English as main subjects and scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate in class 12th qualifying examination. |

| Paramedical Courses | a. M.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology: 3 years degree in radiation technology/radiotherapy technology/ imaging technology with minimum 55% aggregate marks of all the three years (50% for natural born SC & ST). This duration shall be 2/3 years for in-service category candidates. b. PG Diploma for Perfusion Technology: A pass in MBBS or B.Sc. with Biology. c. B. Sc. Radiation Technology: A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at the qualifying examination. d. B. Sc. (Medical Lab Technology): A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. e. B. Sc. Ophthalmic Techniques: A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together at the qualifying examination. f. Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology: A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology OR Physics, Biology and Chemistry/Computer Science/Mathematics. g. Bachelor of Prosthetic & Orthotic: A pass in the senior secondary examination (Class XII) of the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English taken together at the qualifying examination. h. Exam Pattern
MBBS:
- Entrance Examination: NEET UG
- Exam Mode: Offline
- Number of Questions: Physics and Chemistry sections include 45 questions each, while the Biology section comprises 90 questions
- Exam Duration: 3 hours
- Marking Pattern: Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct response while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
MD / MS/ PG Diploma:
- Entrance Examination: NEET PG
- Exam Mode: Computer Based Test
- Exam Duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes
- Number of Questions: 200
- Exam Syllabus: 3 sections; clinical, pre-clinical and para-clinical subjects.
- Marking Pattern: Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct response while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
DM / MCh:
- Entrance Examination: NEET SS
- Exam Mode: Computer Based Test
- Exam Duration: for single paper: 1 hour 45 minutes and for combined paper: 3 hours
- Number of Questions: 100
- Exam Syllabus: Question paper shall be separately prepared for single and combined speciality.
- Marking Pattern: Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct response while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
Admission Process
MBBS:
- Admission in MBBS is done through NEET UG. Eligible candidates will have to appear in National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by CBSE.
MD, MS, Diploma:
- Eligible candidates will have to appear in NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Education (NBE) for admission in MD and MS. However, in order to meet the eligibility criteria candidates must hold Graduate Degree in MBBS from any recognized university.
DM, MCh:
- Eligible candidates will have to appear in NEET SS conducted by Indian Medical Council. Candidates are then required to appear in personal interview conducted by the college. However, candidates must have studied and passed postgraduate course in relevant discipline.
Reservation Policy
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be benefited by a 10% of marks relaxation in 12th standard / Degree to be considered eligible for the concerned course.
