The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for MBBS, AYUSH, veterinary and nursing courses. NEET is India's single largest undergraduate medical entrance examination conducted in pen and paper mode. The exam is organised once a year. NEET 2022 is an undergraduate-level examination conducted for admission to medical courses such as MBBS and BDS. NEET 2022 exam dates are expected to be released in December.

The test pattern of NEET 2022 comprises two sections.
Each subject will consist of two sections.
Section A will consist of 35 Questions
Section B will have 15 questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions.

The exam pattern for the NEET (UG)-2022 Examination for admission in the Session 2022-23 is as follows:
The important points to note:
Each question carries 04 (four) marks and, for each correct answer candidate will get 04 (four) marks. For each incorrect answer, 01(one) mark will be deducted from the total score.
To answer a question, the candidate has to find, for each question, the correct answer/ best option.
However, after the process of the challenge of key, if more than one option is found to be correct then all/any one of the multiple correct/best options marked will be given four marks (+4). Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark -1). · Unanswered/unattempted questions will be given no marks. In case, a question is dropped/ ignored, all candidates will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
Eligibility to appear in NEET 2022 Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG), as per related Regulations of NMC and DCI are as follows:-
He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course. Accordingly, the lower age limit shall as under: For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS born on or before 31.12.2004 For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD Category.
The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwBD Candidates.
Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

The application fee for NEET 2022 varies for students of various categories. For general category students, probably the fee could be 1500 INR, while for OBC/EWS and for ST/SC/PwD/Transgender, it could be 1400 INR & 800 INR respectively.
NEET 2022 RESERVATION POLICY
Reservation in All India Quota: Reservation in All India Quota seats shall be as follows:
S.C- 15%
S.T- 7.5%
PwBD- 5%
Horizontal Reservation
OBC (Non- Creamy Layer)- 27 % Only in National Institutes/Central Universities
EWS- 10% Only in National Institutes/Central Universities
The application form for NEET is filled online.
Step 1: Go to https://ntaneet.nic.in/ntaneet/registration/instruction.aspx. Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed to Apply Online NEET (UG)-2022’ at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: Fill the NEET online application form. You have to provide your details like DOB, Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number etc. along with your educational details. Select the language of your choice for the NEET 2022 exam. You are required to fill 3 choices of exam centre. After filling the application form, your registration number is generated. Please note it down.
Step 3: Upload your photograph and signature in the required format
Step 4: Make the payment of the NEET 2022 application fee.
Step 5:Take a printout of the confirmation page after your payment is complete.
