About Development Management Institute

Development Management Institute (DMI) was set up on February 13, 2014 pursuant to a desire of the Government of Bihar to establish a High Performing Knowledge Institution (HPKI). DMI believes that the livelihoods of small producers and marginalised people can be enhanced by organising them to form member participation based, democratically governed institutions that leverage the strengths of collectives and build enduring partnerships with professionals for reaping the benefits of technology and market integration.

Interactive Classroom Learning through simulations and cases: Through the help of simulations, tech-tools and real-life cases, participants experience a hands-on learning inside the classroom.
Experiential Learning Segment provides a unique Programme design: A unique Programme design about 30% of the total Programme duration is devoted to Experiential Learning and practical application of knowledge in the field through the three EL Components: Development Immersion, Enterprise Learning and Management Internship.
Generous and merit-based Scholar Support for participants: DMI provides a generous merit-based fee waiver based on the participant's performance during the PDM Programme, which extends upto 100% of the Tuition Fees.
Placements: Assured Placements in national and international development organisations with an average of 2.2 offers per participant, the participants at DMI have been able to choose between two or more offers, which has helped them decide their own career paths.
World-class Infrastructure: Infrastructure at DMI is enabled with all the luxuries. 24 X 7 RFID-enabled library; WiFi-enabled campus; biometric security at campus/hostel, etc.
Active and vibrant collaborative network with development organisations across the world: Through our vast network of development organisations across the world, we are able to leverage and undertake collaborative research and education.

Name of the Programme: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Development Management)

Duration: 2 Years, Full-time
Name of the qualifying exam - CAT / XAT / MAT / GMAT / CMAT / ATMA
Fee Structure: Rs.6,00,000
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent in Graduation and a valid Score in CAT / XAT / CMAT / GMAT / MAT / ATMA
