SSC CGL Tier-I 2016 exam was flagged off on August 27, 2016. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in three time slots. For the first time, the Staff Selection commission (SSC) has introduced a Computer based Test (CBT) of 100 objective type questions to be answered in 75 minutes.
There are four sections, namely, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension consisting of 25 questions each. All sections, except the English Comprehension section are available bilingual i.e. in both Hindi and English medium. Every correct answer will fetch 2 marks and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

General Intelligence and Reasoning
The level of difficulty of this section was easy. There were questions both from verbal and non-verbal reasoning. The pattern was similar to the last year and options could be easily eliminated to arrive at the correct answer.

The level of difficulty of this section was moderate. Overall, the paper was on the same pattern as last year. The paper was dominated by science and GK questions.
