SSC CHSL (10 + 2) Exam-2015 Analysis (15th Nov. Evening Slot)

The Staff Selection Commission (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Exam (evening slot), conducted on November 15, 2015, saw certain changes as compared to the previous year’s papers. Overall, the difficulty level of the paper ranged from easy to moderate but it was slightly easier than last year’s paper. The morning slot saw indefinite number of sets with 1 unique question paper. All sections, except English Language, were available bilingually, that is, in both English and Hindi. Each question was followed by 4 options. There was a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

The pattern of the paper was as given below:

A score of about 125 can be considered a good score.

General Intelligence
The section primarily saw questions of easy to moderate level. Two questions in the Reasoning section were wrong.

English Language
The section comprises questions of easy to moderate level. Compared to the question paper of the morning slot, this question paper was marginally more difficult.

Quantitative Aptitude
This section comprised questions from a variety of areas.  A major part of the section was based on Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry and Data Interpretation. For two questions from Trigonometry and Time and Work, the answer options did not match. Also, two questions were absolutely same but the language was slightly different. The paper also had questions from Ratio, Profit & Loss, Averages, Time-Speed-Distance, Time & Work and Percentages.

General Awareness
This section had majority of questions which were certainly difficult from the morning slot! Science section had maximum questions as usual, totalling 17 in all. Economics and Science section questions were difficult in nature .There was only one question from current affairs. This section had many questions which were ranging from moderate to high level of difficulty.
