English Language
This section was dominated by Grammar and Vocabulary. This section of the evening slot was comparatively more difficult than that of the morning slot. The paper comprised questions on - Synonyms, Antonyms, One word Substitution, Idioms, Sentence Completion, Sentence Correction, Error spotting and Spellings. There was also a ten blank Cloze Test. The papers, in both the slots, saw one question each from the last week’s CHSL papers. In the morning slot, the repeated question was the one that required the students to mark the meaning of the phrase “maiden speech” and in the evening  slot, the meaning of the phrase “wild goose chase” was asked. Questions based on ‘question tags’ (in both the slots) were very similar to the one that appeared last week in the same exam. It is therefore advisable that the students should thoroughly go through the papers of all the slots that are uploaded on CL’s website as it will only benefit them.
