Globalization & its impact on Democracy
The whole world is inter depended on each other as the soil needs wind and sunlight, seeds needs soil to bare food grains, river needs wind ,man needs oxygen and the world needs human to look after and use its resources to develop and live. As naturally we are inter depended on each other ,its very important for human kind and society to come in a platform to know more about each others and their cultures, way of living, surviving and developing and that’s what globalisation has been doing. In simple terms its bringing people together in a platform to live and exchange what they have learn beyond boundaries.
Globalisation has several impacts on human and society in terms of democracy as
impact on democracy as follows:
1.Equality: We can see in world history the domination and suppression of human civilisation by one rule. India is a great example in this regard .we can see caste and gender discrimination in Indian history. How women were kept separately from education and other powers, how lower caste people were facing discrimination. We can see how the British rule brought modern education in Indian society and laid the foundation of equality. Today women empowerment, and lower caste people serving country in a prestigious position is all the result of globalisation.
2.Justice: Globalisation has been playing a huge role in section of justice to society. Eradicating malnutrition and vulnerability , increasing education rate is all the result of coming on the platform of globalisation.
3.Opportunity: When a country comes in a platform of globalisation it brings a chain of international relation and investment which helps to boost the economy and gives opportunity to everyone as working capacity to work and earn.
4.Peace: Without peace our world or a country cannot be considered as democratic world or country. Globalisation helping countries in the world to come in a platform to fight with terror or other external threats by making an international laws for the world peace.
5.sustanable goal: Globalisation has brought a huge concern for sustaining our environment and natural resources. It is globalisation which brought world leaders and scientist and researchers from around the world to sustain their environment and natural resources for future generation.
Globalisation is very important for democracy and it has a huge impact in it. Though it has some negative effects even but we cannot consider them over its positive impacts. It was the globalisation which took Indian culture and spread it into the whole world and gave a huge cultural identity to our country and helped to bring equilibrium into our society which significant for the democracy of our country. To see the new India 2022 mission completion, Globalisation has a huge role in it.
