The Civil Services Mains Examination 2018 required overall awareness besides just factual details to answer the questions correctly. The questions were often indirect as a means to check students' background knowledge and not just the immediate current affairs awareness. Overall difficulty level of many subtopics has increased this year as compared to last year.
