Decode ACAT

Amrita University & MBA program stands as a beacon of quality education and opportunities for those aspiring to excel in business management. The pathway to this esteemed program is through the Amrita Common Aptitude Test (ACAT), which will be conducted on March 8 & 9, 2025. The last date to apply for ACAT is February 28, 2025.
ACAT is a nationwide test conducted across all our six prestigious campuses in Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Nagercoil, and Kochi through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

Syllabus & Examination Structure For ACAT

Duration: 150 minutes (2:30 hrs)

Number of Questions: 100

  • Verbal Reasoning & Language Comprehension (25 questions)
  • Data Interpretation & Analysis (25 questions)
  • General Knowledge of Indian and global Scenarios (25 questions)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions)

Scoring: 3 marks for each correct answer and a penalty of -1 mark for each incorrect answer

Eligibility

  • Recognized UG degree (10+2+3 pattern) by AIU with minimum 50% aggregate in 10th, 12th, and UG (or varied criteria for Bengaluru campus).
  • Test Scores: Valid ACAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE scores accepted; candidates taking these tests can apply with registration numbers.

AMRITA Selection Process

  • Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI), based on their academic and test scores, and will be informed about the PI date by email and SMS. (Candidates who are not shortlisted will not get any communication)
  • During the PI, candidates will be assessed on their written and verbal communication skills, subject knowledge, general awareness, and overall personality.
  • Successful candidates will receive their offer letters via email and SMS.
  • Selected candidates must complete the payment online by the specified deadline.
