How to Calculate CAT score?

Let's take a real exam scenario to explain how to calculate your CAT score using the CAT answer key and your CAT response sheet.

For example: A candidate has 50 answers correct in CAT 2024 and has made errors in another 10 answers.

• Now, the candidate will determine the marks awarded for all the correct answers, which will be 50 * 3 = 150 marks. Since he has marked 10 questions incorrectly, there will be a deduction of 10 * 1 = 10 marks.
• Subtract the total marks deducted from the total marks scored to get the CAT raw score, which is 150 - 10 = 140. 
• So, the candidate's raw score will be 140/198. However, this is not used for result preparation. The raw CAT scores will be normalized to ensure candidates from all three exam slots are assessed on the same level. 
• The normalized CAT score is then used for percentile calculation, in which the CAT 2024 result is declared.

Candidates will need to fill out the objection form using their CAT login ID and password. An objection fee of INR 1,200 per question must be paid online. Here are the steps to complete the objection form:
