IIM Calcutta: Admission Process

IIM Calcutta follows a very hefty process for its admissions, which is definitely not an easy task to get into. Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply for the MBA program. The admission process at IIM Calcutta for the PGP (2022-24) will be carried out in the following stages.

Round 1: CAT Exam

Interested candidates will need to register for CAT and also apply to IIM Calcutta in the same form. The applicants will have to appear for CAT.

Round 2: Shortlisting for WAT-PI

Candidates who have scored a percentile above the minimum cut-off in both sectional and overall will be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates will be ranked based on their composite scores and will be shortlisted for the WAT-PI process. Subsequently, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Round 3: Final Selection

A category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the composite scores, which will be calculated through the CAT score, PI, WAT, Academic diversity, and Work experience.
