The Indian Institutes of Management, popularly known as IIMs, are India's top institutes for management education and research. There are a total of 21 IIMs in India, offering post-graduate, doctoral, and executive programs for aspiring candidates. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted annually in November for admission to the MBA and managerial programs at IIMs. Cracking the CAT is the initial step towards securing a seat in one of the top IIMs. Based on CAT scores, IIMs screen aspirants for the next step of the admission process, known as the PI/WAT/GD round. The Composite CAT Score, past academic performance, work experience, and WAT/GD/PI scores are evaluated to determine the final IIM admission lists, which are released individually by each IIM.
