The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a nationwide MBA entrance exam conducted online by Symbiosis International University (SIU). The eligibility criteria for SNAP differ based on the guidelines established by the 15 participating institutes. 

Generally, the candidate who wants to appear for the SNAP exam must have obtained a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their graduation. Finally, graduates are also eligible to apply, subject to obtaining no less than 50% marks or equivalent grades. However, it may vary further for different colleges under SIU.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Indian Candidates

  • Candidates belonging to the General category must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate or equivalent
  • Candidates belonging to the Reserved category must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate or equivalent
  • The graduation degree can be in any education mode but should be from a UGC-recognised university or equivalent
  • Candidates in their final year of bachelor's degree programme are also eligible to apply for SNAP exam

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for International Candidates

Foreign National, Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates are also eligible to apply for SNAP 2024. The SNAP eligibility criteria for international students are mentioned below: 

  • It is mandatory for candidates applying under the Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO category to clear an English Proficiency Test.
  • Candidates can choose to appear for either IELTS or IELA and need to secure band 6 and band 4, respectively.
  • At the time of SNAP registration, International applicants must have proof of residence, a copy of their Visa and passport and in case of the student visa, the candidate should have a Bonafide Certificate and Letter of Provisional Admission from the University College/Institution.

SNAP Exam Eligibility 2024

Before appearing in the exam, it is necessary to know that you are rightly joining it or not. To appear in SNAP 2024, you will have to fulfill the required eligibility criteria for SNAP exam. These include:

Educational Qualification:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in any stream.

Minimum Marks:

  • Secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in your graduation (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Age Limit:

  • There's no upper age limit for appearing in SNAP.

Additional Points:

  • Final-year students can also apply, but their admission depends on obtaining the minimum marks in their qualifying examination.
  • If your degree is from a foreign university, you'll need an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Individual institutes might have additional eligibility requirements for specific programs.

SNAP 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Institute-Wise Criteria

While the general eligibility criteria for SNAP remains the same across all participating institutes (Bachelor's degree with 50% marks, no age limit, etc.), some institutes might have additional eligibility requirements for specific programs. Here are the SNAP eligibility criteria for different programs at the mentioned institutes under SNAP 2024. 

SNAP 2024 Eligibility At SIBM Pune

1. General MBA:

  • Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University / Institution of National with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC / ST) in graduation.
  • Final-year candidates can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria At SCMHRD

1. MBA (Infrastructure Development and Management):

  • Graduate in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), or Bachelor of Planning (B.Plan.) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
  • Or a bachelor's degree from a non-engineering branch with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) and 12 months of work experience in specified sectors.
  • An equivalence certificate is required for qualifications from Foreign Universities.

2. MBA (Business Analytics)

  • Graduation from any recognized university/institution with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
  • At least two years of work experience full-time after graduation.
  • Qualifications obtained from Foreign Universities require an equivalence certificate.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2024 At SIIB

1. MBA (Energy and Environment):

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science (Environmental Science) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). 
  • Qualifications acquired from foreign universities would require an equivalence certificate.

SNAP Exam Eligibility At SIOM, Nashik

1. MBA (Operations Management):

  • Engineering Graduate (B.E./B.Tech) with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
  • An equivalence certificate is required for qualifications from Foreign Universities.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria At SCIT

1. MBA (Data Sciences & Data Analytics)

  • Graduate from any recognized University/Institution of National Importance.
  • Minimum 50% marks at graduation.
  • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply.
  • Foreign University graduates must obtain an equivalence certificate from AIU.

SNAP Exam Eligibility At SSCA

1. MBA (Food Technology and Food Enterprise Management)

  • Graduate in Food Technology, Hotel Management, Home Science, Food Science & Quality Control, Culinary Arts, Food Ecology/Sustainability, Packaging Technology, Nutrition, Microbiology, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Food Engineering, etc.
  • Minimum 50% marks at graduation level.
  • Foreign University graduates must obtain an equivalence certificate from AIU.
