What is XGMT Exam?

The Xavier General Management Aptitude Test, popularly known as XGMT, is a university-level entrance exam for admission to its Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Finance (MBF) programs.

It differs from the Xaviers Aptitude Test, i.e., XAT, a national-level examination usually held in the last week of January for admissions in top B-schools of India. The difficulty level for XGMT is slightly at the lower edge as compared to XAT exam.

It is an online examination conducted by XIM University, Bhubaneswar. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes, giving students the approximate time to finish the examination. It is a gateway for admission to various MBA programs offered by XIM University and other allied institutes.

• Final-year students can also apply if they expect to complete their degree by a specific date (usually June 15th of the application year).

Other Criteria:

• No upper age limit: There is no maximum age limit for applying to XGMT. Anyone can apply for the exam; there are no restrictions on the age.
• Work experience: There is no mandatory work experience to be eligible for XGMT exam. However, there are additional points for work experience.

XGMT Exam: Test Centers

The XGMT exam is conducted in six major cities across India:

XGMT Exam: Admission Process

The XGMT exam admission process follows a comprehensive selection process for XIM University's MBA program admissions. It is a time-consuming process, so candidates should not rest just after the written exam; instead, they should start preparation for further rounds well in advance to be able to get into their dream college.

The admission process for XGMT exam typically involves the following steps:

• Application Form: To complete the online application form for XGMT exam, candidates must submit the required documents, including academic transcripts, work experience certificates, and other necessary details. It is advisable to get it done 2-3 days prior to the deadline to avoid last-minute errors, as the application form for XGMT exam follows a hefty process for form filling.
• Entrance Exam: The second step towards getting into the XIM University, Bhubaneswar, is to take the XGMT exam and submit your scores from accepted exams.
• Shortlisting: Shortlisting for the further rounds is based on your entrance exam score. If you manage to get the required scores, you will receive a call for the GD, PI, and WAT.
• Group Discussion (GD) & Writing Ability Test (WAT): Shortlisted candidates will be processed to further rounds i.e., Group Discussion to assess the candidates on their communication and critical thinking skills and check their written ability through WAT.
• Personal Interview (PI): After progressing through all the other rounds, the shortlisted candidates attend a PI round, the final round, to evaluate candidates’ overall personalities and determine whether they are suitable for the program and if their aspirations align with their career goals.
