The third subject in CFA Level-1 exam is Economics. It carries a weightage of 10%. And as part of CFA Level-1 exam, the focus on Economics is on macro-economics. The Economics subject in CFA Level-1 exam covers:
- Business Cycles - the analysis of the growth, maturity, and decline phases of a company, that can help identify the right investment decisions to be taken.
- Monetary System - the monetary system, impact of inflation, industry analysis based on inflation, exchange rates, parity calculation, monetary & fiscal policies, economic growth & development, effects of government regulations, and impact of economic factors on investment markets.
