CUET 2022 Exam Analysis

Section 1: English

The paper was on the same lines as yesterday with close to 20 questions based on passages. The questions based on reading comprehension passages were direct, but options were close.

Fill in the blanks, antonyms, synonyms, spelling error, figures of speech, para jumbles tested one’s acumen on grammar and vocabulary. Overall, paper was easy, and students felt comfortable.

Section 2: Domain Subjects

Due to the JEE and NEET exams, NTA has only scheduled the commerce and humanities-based papers in the first phase.

In commerce, students who took the Accounts, Business Studies, and Economics, gave mixed reactions.

Economics seemed to be slightly difficult today with questions based on numerical, graphs etc.

Accountancy paper had questions based on issue of shares, NPO, computer accounting, accounting ratio, profit ratio along with match the following and the paper was easier than the Mocks given

The Applied Mathematics paper had questions from probability, maxima-minima. Students found the section to be on the moderate level of difficulty just like the first day.

Political Science paper was easy and had questions based on Indira Gandhi re-election, chronological order, match the following etc.

Geography paper had questions based on maps, minerals and energy resources, transportation communication and was uniform based on the syllabus prescribed

Section 3: General Test

The General Test section was like the first day. Questions based on general awareness were on varied topics but easy. The GT paper was very similar to Mocks with close to 22-23 questions on numerical ability and rest on reasoning. There was a short DI set and the reasoning section had usual questions from series, coding, blood relations etc.
