Section 1: English
English language paper in Section 1 had focus on vocabulary and grammar. With 15 questions based on reading comprehension, the focus was to test one's grammar fundamentals and vocabulary.
Questions were based on synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, one word substitution, spelling error, figures of speech, para. Overall, paper was easy, and students were able to comfortably complete the same in the given time with some students even reporting completing the section well before the allotted time of 45 min.
Section 2: Domain Subjects
Only the papers from Commerce and Humanities stream are being covered in the first phase.
Mixed reactions received from students today with some rating the papers in domain subjects to be of moderate level unlike the earlier ones where most students had reported the papers to be easy.
Students found the Accountancy paper to be easy with 10-12 questions based on inflow and outflow.
Economics had mixed reactions. Some students found the section to be lengthy. Match the following based questions had dominance with 10-12 of them based on Demand and Contraction.
Questions in political science were on the NTA Mock pattern. Chapters/topics that were given high importance were regional aspirations and development in politics, party and its dominance, politics since independence and emergency. Around 60-70% of the questions were from the second book of political science.
The History paper was moderate, and the number of questions were divided as follows -
Ancient History - 5-8 questions
Modern History - 10-12 Questions
Medieval - Rest of the questions
Direct lines from NCERT were also asked.
Section 3: General Test
The general awareness section in the section had a mix of questions from current affairs and static general knowledge with questions ranging from economics, biology. history, polity, important personalities, geography etc. Numeral ability had basic questions and if one had practiced well, they would have found the questions easy to solve. Questions were based on algebra and arithmetic along with basic statistics-mean, mode. Reasoning based questions in the section had focus on analytical reasoning. Questions based on series, ages, coding, puzzles were easy and doable.
