Prelims of UPSC exam 2021 has been conducted and now the candidates from the next batch have started full-fledged preparation for UPSC 2022. The Civil Services Examination(CSE) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit candidates into civil services of India including IAS, IPS, IFS, and other allied services. The UPSC exam 2022 will be conducted in three phases. These are UPSC Prelims, UPSC Main, and the Personality Test (also known as UPSC Interview).
The first phase of the IAS Exam is the Preliminary Examination which is the screening test. It is thus qualifying in nature. The score obtained in the UPSC Prelims exam 2022 will not be calculated in the final merit. But, the score in GS Paper-I is essential to determine the cutoff of the UPSC Prelims Exam. The IAS Prelims Exam paper consists of two papers that are objective-type MCQ-based as opposed to UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam. The UPSC Mains Exam is a descriptive exam consisting of nine papers.
