CUET 2023 Exam Analysis - (2nd June 2023)
Section I: Language
English
On day 13, the English paper, according to the students, was easy to moderate in difficulty level. This is slightly on the more difficult side than the previous exam days. The questions were straightforward, but the options were a bit tricky.
There were 3 extracts given for Reading Comprehension, 2 were passages (Ecotourism and about Japan) and one was an extract from a poem (Graveyard and Rose Garden). 5 questions each were asked from the extracts. Other major topics from where questions came were -
- Fill in the blanks: 8-9 questions
- Para jumbles: 4-5 questions
- One Word Substitution: 4-5 questions
- Idioms and Phrases: 1 Idiom and 2 Clauses (2-3 questions)
- Active-passive: 2-3 questions
- Verbs, adjectives, and adverbs were asked: 1-2 questions
- Antonyms & Synonyms: Match the following - Navigate (5-6 questions)
- Sentence Correction: 2-3 questions
- Foreign words: 1-2 questions
- Letter-based: 2-3 questions
- Exclamatory sentence conversion: Conversion to exclamatory sentence(2-3 questions)
- Word Meaning: Benevolent (1-2 questions)
Section II: Domain subjects
Humanities
Political Science: Shift 1
Students were very much satisfied with their experience and performance in the Political Science paper. Student’s rated the paper to be easy on the difficulty level. Interestingly, there were similar questions from the Career Launcher Mocks too. The questions were broadly from -

On both shifts of day 13, the Political science paper was similar in difficulty level. Students were very much satisfied with their experience and rated the paper to be easy on the difficulty level. The questions were broadly from -

Legal Studies
The Legal Studies paper was rated as easy in difficulty level by the test takers on day 13 of CUET 2023. Questions were mostly NCERT based and similar to the Career Launcher Mocks. Questions from different topics were as follows -

- Topics of Law: Property Law etc ( match the following) - (2-3 questions)

Psychology
The Psychology paper on Day 13 was rated as easy by the students. According to the various inputs received from the test takers, the questions were directly from the NCERT books and were easy. Questions from different topics were as follows -
- Psychological Disorders: Symptoms of schizophrenia, autism, spectrum (5-6 questions)
- Therapeutic Approaches: Behavioural Therapy, human existence, therapeutic relation (5-6 questions)
- Meeting Life Challenges: Case Study - Stress (5 questions)
- Self and Personality: 2-3 questions
- Variations in Psychological Attributes: Match the following - Psychological attributes - definition(1-2 questions)
- Attitude and Social Cognition: 1-2 questions
- Social Influence and Group Processes: Question about the crowd (1-2 questions)
- Psychology and Life: 1-2 questions
- Developing Psychological Skills: 1-2 questions
Section III: General Test
The test takers from day 13 rated the General Test paper to be easy to moderate in difficulty level. Questions were a bit tricky which tested the knowledge and presence of mind of the students. On a broader scale, the questions were majorly from the following three topics -

- Books and Authors: End of the Queen, British era (2-3 questions)

- Science: Biology related question(Human body study is called what) - (1-2 questions)
- Important Days: Pragati Diwas (1-2 questions)
Numerical Ability (22-25 questions)
- Ratio and Proportion: Investment and simple ratio question] (2-3 questions)
- Mixtures and Allegations: 2-3 questions
- CI and SI: Calculation of CI and SI (2-3 questions)
- AP & GP: Sum of AP, Find the Nth value (1-2 questions)
- Probability: Probability of prime numbers when you throw dice (1-2 questions)
- Time and Work: Mother & Daughter do the work in this ratio question. (1-2 questions)
- Time, Speed, and Distance: Time was given, the distance was given asked for the speed (1-2 questions)
- Algebra: Equations and consistency of the equation, Simplification of equation (3-4 questions)
- Area & Volume: The radius of a cylinder is doubled - change in volume, Rectangle - (Wall breadth and height) was given volume was asked (3-4 questions)
Logical Reasoning (15-16 questions)
- Series: 3-4 questions
- Coding: Alphabet and Numerics (2-3 questions)
- Puzzles: Arrangement-related questions (3-4 questions)
- Direction: 3-4 questions
- Clocks: Angle & one tricky question (2 questions)
- Calendars: Day & date for 2010 and 2011 - 1 question
- Blood Relations: 2-3 questions
- Venn Diagram: Multiple shapes were given, asked for the values (2-3 questions)
- Visual Reasoning: 2-3 questions
Overall the student’s Day 13 (shifts 1 & 2) exam experience has been more or less easy to moderate only. Students are advised to continue their preparation as you never know how the next day or shift is going to be.
